Truth #7: We don't know how to prevent breast cancer

Gawd knows, I didn’t have any family history of cancer at all, not to mention breast cancer. My only risk factors were as follows: 30 lbs overweight, but lost that nearly 8 years prior to diagnosis. Very dense fibrocystic breast tissue. Moderate drinker. White. May have been exposed to toxic chemicals and possibly radiation at a young age. Never had children.

On the up side, didn’t eat much red meat, physically active, menstrual cycles starting after 12, but otherwise sort of an annoying ‘health nut’.
