The night before Thanksgiving and a peep was heard in the house....

    AAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Shit!

Actually, it’s not nearly that bad. I’m just being dramatic and hambone. I just got home from a friends house, lunching up on spaghetti and meatballs, and put the pork roast into the ziplok with all the aromatics that are guaranteed to make it sooo yummy tomorrow.

One of the nice things about a pork roast is that it’s simple. It doesn’t take all day to stuff and cook. I’ll just whip up the sweet potatoes and the stuffing midday tomorrow. The braised mustard greens are a last minute item. Set the table in the morning. Throw the antipasti on just before showtime.

It’s just Mr. Maven, myself and my ever irritable 92-year-old mother this year.

At my advanced years, I’m into taking it easy and not making such a huge project out of it all. Oh alright, I can hear my lovely step-daughter laughing all the way from Larkspur/San Rafael, California.

    Hardee-harhar, Ronda.
