Ted Jr. : A tribute to the Lion of the Senate

This brought tears to both of our eyes, and reminded us of the enormous heart and wonderful sense of the self-deprecating humor that Senator Kennedy was a master of. There is, of course, some stagecraft in this beautiful tribute, in the best Irish style that is both humble and winning.

At the end it gave us all a special moment of insight into the very human family moments within the Kennedy clan. They were us, at our best and worst. The Kennedy’s thought that was just alright.

He survived and triumphed over more tragedy than many of us could ever imagine. The man was greater than many knew.

Senator Kennedy made me proud to be a “Liberal”. With a capital ‘L’.
