The LG brand: continuing to surprise me

Mixed in with the Christmas cards in today’s mail was an envelope from LG. Ron was on his way to put fuel in the Outback and get it washed ( it’s so embarrasing) and remarked that it was no doubt some sort of service memo or warranty information. As I sat down to puruse the cards, I opened the LG envelope and found, instead, a check for $15.98. Huh? What gives?
