Gibbons and Burns:Go shopping for a clue on health care reform

In response to suggestions that the Federal Government might actually have the right to insist that all Americans will get health insurance coverage - per the mandate of the new legislation - America’s craziest governor, Jim Gibbons, plans to join 13 other contestants (states) in suing the Federal Government.

“The federal government has no right to tell state residents that they have to go out and buy something,” said Dan Burns, Gibbons’ spokesman.

Oh, but Dan, this is how it works! Don’t you remember,  just two weeks after September 11th, we were all encouraged to go shopping by our Most Delusional Leader?

Just the cutest Highway Patrolman in all of Nevada

Imagine my surprise the other day when I saw the following television ad for the Reno Rodeo … featuring my strong, uniformed, square-jawed right arm, Trooper Chuck Allen of the Nevada Highway Patrol.

This is vintage Chuck Allen, and after he retires from the DPS, I would disappointed if he didn’t pursue some some career in broadcasting. He’s just as natural and genuine as he appears.

    You so rock, Chuck.

As an old ad agency type myself, this a very well crafted, engaging and executed campaign.

Campaign: The Rodeo Must be Coming to Town
    Spot: “NHP”
    Agency: The GMAA Group, LLC.
    Creative: Connor Vincent Lynch
    Copywriter: Connor Vincent Lynch
    Production: Chris Blanton Productions
