Spring Cleaning: 50 things to get rid of right now
Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 12:09 We all need to occasionally go through the stuff that makes up our lives. I cleaned out one small linen closet in the hallway the other day, and even though it doesn’t even show, I felt great about it.
Same thing applies to some life ‘stuff’ too. Like my namesake Swedish Grandmother, I see my life as a kind of closet that needs going through occasionally. Getting rid of things and ‘stuff’ allow me to fully engage with and appreciate what I actively choose to keep - from husbands to bath towels. She used to really alarm me at times with what she would breezily part with, but now I see that she was on to something.

Here’s my beginning list, and feel free to add suggestions:
(Credit needs to be given where it’s due. I got this idea from the AARP magazine, author Gail Blanke, that comes - in my name - to the house. I’ve added my own, plus some spin. )
1- Magazines that are more than six months old, unless you’re are in them. That lets me keep all the stuff about my role in the search for a rich and famous dipshit.
