Baby Formula the Next Victim of War On Drugs?

I happened across an insane article in today’s Reno Gazette-Journal: Baby formula becoming staple for theft rings. That’s right, people are wholesale stealing expensive baby formula off the shelves in stores acrosss the nation to use it ‘cut’ (adulterate) illegal drugs or to sell in order to buy illegal drugs.

It’s gotten so bad that senators from six states are no proposing legislation aimed at curbing such theft - ranking baby formula right up there with the Sudafed.

What a bargain the war on drugs has been.

    Yup.

Could ‘decriminalization’ or legalization be any more expensive or destructive?

Are they going to start locking up the infant formula behind the pharmacy counter like they did with cold medicine?

Drug abuse isn't a crime, it's a public health issue, just like alcoholism is. When the majority of our population "gets" that, maybe this sort of nonsense will cease.

    I'm not holding my breath.
