    Granola: the good and the bad

    I could be a granola eater, but I can’t get my head wrapped around the calories and sugar that characterize the typical crunchy granola cluster. So, it was interesting yesterday while I was ‘binning’ at Whole Foods - a bag of toasted kasha buckwheat kernels, a bag of amaranth, a bit of kamut flakes, I got yakking with a fellow shopper about the granola choices.

    New Kashi frozen entree is a winner

    This is the little entree that can. I tried it on a whim this evening, and it simply rocks. I love plaintains - hey, I’m a Miami girl - and I wanted to try this thinking it might be something Natacha would also like. She’s not into bland food, and plantains are a staple in West Africa. She hasn’t got home from work yet, but I’m betting it’s a winner with her too. I bought it at Whole Foods, for about $3.49.
