A sparkling new alternative for warm summer days from R. W. Knudsen

I picked up a couple cans of the mint and cucumber flavored Sparking Essence drinks - new from juice maker R. W. Knudsen.

I have to admit, I really thought I wouldn’t like them. This, gentle reader, is one of the few times I’ve been wrong.

These are amazingly refreshing, with just enough (yes, it’s subtle) of the mint or cucumber flavor to be recognizable yet light on the palate.

As an alternative to sweet fizzy drinks, these are a must to accompany light, savory summer meals - especially when the weather gets too hot for wine, and you’re tired of iced tea.
